Kidd and Egan Bid for London

As a junior David Kidd won just about every domestic race walking competition that he competed in. He has 5 Irish Schools titles to his name, as well as numerous International Schools titles and national BLOE titles. He competed at World Junior Championships and has multiple age group records and Championship Best Performances. He was set to be the future of Irish Race walking.

Though a hard worker, John Egan's performances as a junior never suggested Olympic destiny.  He flirted with many events, and raced mostly over 800m and 1500m.  He did win Wexford County U15 and U17 walk titles but never took the event seriously.

Since then David has been to hell and back with an illness which
threatened his future, while John has transformed from an also-ran to a lean-mean walking machine. Now Olympic qualification is a distinct possibility for both.

Join David and John in their journey as they bid to compete for Ireland at the London 2012 Games.
